Accra , March 24, GNA – MTN Ghana has organised a Community Forum in the Western North Regional capital of Sefwi Wiawso to educate its stakeholders on its products and services.

The sensitisation was to expose them to the new technology of sending and transacting businesses through the use of MTN MoMo and other security precautions in using the facility.

Mr David Nana Addae in charge of MoMo told the forum about the need to protect pin numbers and change it anytime there was a threat or compromise.

He urged the public to stay on guard against fraudsters.

The General Manager of Southern Ghana sector of MTN Ghana, Mr Abubakar Mohammed said the forum formed part of activities outlined under the MTN Twin City Festival to engage communities, celebrate with them and solicit feedback.

The General Manager said the Sefwi Wiawso Community had been assisted in the areas of health, education and economic employment.
In attendance were; Divisional Police Commander, Immigration Commander, Fire Service, partner banks, market women, dressmakers association, students and trade partners.

The Divisional Commander, Chief Inspector Francis Enor advised the community members to guard against greed, which had gotten most people into trouble with mobile money frauds.

He said their modus operandi was to add some monies unto wallets and then ask their vitims to assist them by retrieving their monies only to realise that their wallets were emptied.
