Cidade da Praia, Jul 16 (Inforpress) – Santiago won 5-4 on penalties against Fogo in the semi-final match in the Independence Cup match wich took place Sunday at the Orlando Rodrigues stadium.
In the first half, in minute 38 “Baju scored the first goal of the game for the Fogo club. In the interval, a malaise in the stadium was generated with the Regional Football President of Santiago, Mário Avelino “Donae”, and the supporters in fervorous, considering “offside” the goal scored in favor of Fogo.
In the complementary stage, in the 88th minute, Tchubasko, scored the first goal of the Santiago club, restoring the equality between the two teams. Under the new regulation, penalties were started to decide who would qualify for the semi-finals.
At the penalty Santiago won by 5 to 4 against Fogo.
