Accra – A delegation from the Diasporan Patriots in Ghana (DPG) Foundation of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and some leaders of the Party in the Greater Accra Region have paid a courtesy call on the leadership of the NPP in Amansaman.
The familiarization visit was to get first-hand information on the activities of the Party in the constituency and how the Party was positioning itself to capture the parliamentary seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Prince Ofosu Sefah, leader of the Diasporan team, assured Party members of the support of the Foundation and promised to make available, all needed resources, especially human resources, to provide the needed skills to the constituency.
He was confident that the NPP would win the Amasaman seat.
Mr. Odarlai Parker, who led the regional delegation, admonished leadership of the Party, to eschew all differences and work together as a team.
He said:“The primaries are over, and all should work as one body,” and urged Party members to do their best and not sit or wait to be called before they worked.
Mr Mike Ofori-Asante, the Amasaman NPP Chairman said, “The Party has put in place strategic measures to harvest votes and to undertake retail campaigning as a strategy to consolidate our votes”.
He assured members that, “come what may, the Amasaman seat will no longer belong to the NDC.”
Mr clement Wilkinson, Amasaman Municipal Chief Executive, said “People are migrating because of the numerous projects the government is undertaking in the constituency, which includes; the expansion of water works and basic amenities within the municipality.”
