Praia, Aug 5 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities, Luís Filipe Tavares, said today, in Praia, that the Government is working to carry out, “as soon as possible”, the repatriation flight of Cabo Verdean students in Brazil.
“We are working with student associations and our Embassy in Brasilia, to plan this flight because classes have been suspended and there is a group of almost 200 students who want to return to Cabo Verde,” said Luís Filipe Tavares, on the fringes of the inauguration of new commander of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Cabo Verde (FACV).
The head of Cabo Verdean diplomacy recalled that it will be the third repatriation flight between Brazil and Cabo Verde, after March 19, with the declaration of a state of emergency and the closure of borders.
“We will continue to work and this week I will have a new conference with the students, because they were responsible for the coordination with colleagues to define the best date and we are also analyzing the leasing of the aircraft”, informed the minister.
