Kumasi, Aug. 10, GNA – A Pastor of Calvary Temple Assemblies of God Church at Bantama in the Kumasi Metropolis, has asked Christians to have faith in God in these times of difficulties.

Pastor Francis Akresi, said despite the financial challenges facing many people around the world as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, those who had faith in God and trustfully obey His word would overcome their financial worries.

“We are not in normal times, a common phrase used frequently nowadays. The economy of the world is in recession. Loss of jobs, businesses are folding up, money is not in the system due to the coronavirus, but our God is able to prosper and bring financial breakthrough to His children.”

Pastor Akresi told the church members during a church service on Sunday.

The sermon was based on 1 Kings 17:8-16, as he demonstrated the widow and Prophet Elijah in the Bible.

“The widow relied on God’s word and gave her little to Elijah, and God blessed her in abundance”, he pointed out.

Pastor Akresi said, “Your faithfulness towards God will always bring financial progress in your life. Those who are unfaithful, God withholds their promises and provisions from them. They never experience God’s abundance and prosperity.”

He charged Christians to have faith and trustfully obey God’s word, and also adhere to all safety protocols to help curb the spread of the coronavirus virus in their communities.
