Praia, Sep 21 (Inforpress) – The 3rd edition of the Annotated Electoral Code launched Thursday in the city of Praia, aims to contribute to civic development in Cabo Verde, considered the book’s author, lawer Mário Silva.
“It is a contribution so that those involved in the electoral procedure understand each one their role, each one what they have to do. And if each of us does what the code says, strictly, as we will always have a smooth electoral procedure,” he said.
According to Mário Silva, this review, which takes place 13 years after the 2nd edition, and after the review of the 2010 Electoral Code, aims, above all, to make available to the public an Annotated Electoral Code that can help political parties, groups of citizens independent voters and the electoral administration, to better understand electoral norms.
This edition, with more than 100 pages in relation to the previous edition, has updated references to the deliberations from the National Elections Commission (CNE) and to the judgments from the Constitutional Court (TC).
