Praia, Oct 6 (Inforpress) – The Democratic Teachers Union (SINDPROF) today called for a greater valorisation of the teaching profession in the country, pointing out the “important mission” teachers play for economic and social development.
The position was defended to Inforpress, by the president of SINDPROF, Lígia Herbert, regarding the World Teachers’ Day, which is marked on Monday, October 5th.
The official started by saying that for the union the celebration of this date “has gone somewhat unnoticed” in Cabo Verde, with fews activities.
He stressed that it is necessary to pay attention to this date, because, there are measures taken by UNESCO Cabo Verde need to follow them, “literally, in full”.
