Praia, Oct 21 (Inforpress) – The Government refuted accusations made by the Mayor of Mosteiros, Fernandinho Teixeira, about municipal works, ensuring that in the last four years, the Executive has invested in infrastructure in that municipality, a total of 360 million escudos.
The reaction came from the Ministry of Tourism and Transport, through the manager of the Tourism Fund, Manuel Ribeiro, at a press conference this Monday in the city of Praia, following the statements by the Mayor of Mosteiros, who accused the Government of “falsifying the truth and lying to the population”, in relation to the financing of the works of Beco, an infrastructure that the mayor of Mosteiros presents as being local work.
According to Manuel Ribeiro, who also spoke on behalf of the Tourism Fund and the Requalification, Rehabilitation and Accessibility Program (PRRA) Management, the mayor’s information is “false”.
“We are talking about a total of investments in infrastructure worth 360 million escudos in the municipality of Mosteiros, in which around 175 million escudos were transferred to the vaults of the City Hall of Mosteiros and 185 million escudos to works on roads directly managed by the Government ”, he stated.
