Praia, Dec. 01 (Inforpress) – The Operational Center for the Information Society (NOSI) will begin today to reestablish the suspended services since Thursday, 26, following the cyber attack on the State’s Electronic Technology Network (RETE ).
The information was released today by the president of the NOSI board of directors, Carlos Pina, who said that this replacement will be gradual, with the priority being critical services and sovereign bodies.
Carlos Pina, who was speaking to the Radio of Cabo Verde, also said that, among the critical services and sovereign bodies, other priorities will be established, in which public administration services are included, which have a direct impact on the lives of citizens and companies, namely customer service.
“It will be a gradual process, because this attack, in addition to reaching the nuclear network, also affected customers’ local networks, and some computers were affected. That is why the replacement of services and the replacement of new infected computers will have to go through a hygiene process, reinforcing the protection mechanisms” he explained.
The Finance, Casa de Cidadão, Notary and Identification Registry (RNI) services and Health services, namely hospitals and health centers are on the priority list that begins to be reestablished today, for which teams are already in the ground, according to the responsible.
