Praia, Jan 18 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verde Press Agency (Inforpress) and Uni-Piaget presented the book “A Magia das Imagens – Memória das Ilhas”, on Friday in Praia, a co-author by José Mário Correia, Gertrudes Oliveira and Wlodzmiertz Szymaniak
The book is about presentation in images and texts of parts of Cabo Verde’s history, through photographs of the old newspaper Voz de Povo, which is now owned by Inforpress.
During the presentation of the work, historian Antonieta Lopes praised the fact that this book was the result of a partnership between two institutions and was written in three hands, using different perspectives and fields.
Antonieta Lopes also highlighted the historical aspect of the book “A Magia das Imagens” in the process of collecting images or the environment in which it is inserted by the photographer when taking the photograph.
