Ho, Jan. 25, the GNA-The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has begun walk-in testing services to the public at its COVID-19 Testing Centre on the main campus at Sokode-Lokoe in the Ho Municipality.
The centre was established by the government and healthcare authorities and partners to meet testing demands in the Volta and surrounding regions in the wake of the pandemic, last year.
Copy of the statement on its website, available to the Ghana News Agency said the enhanced services have been initiated to serve the quick needs of members of the public seeking tests for travel and immigration purposes.
It also provides services for individuals in need of test results for in-country purposes.
The statement said sample collection for the tests strictly requires individuals to turn up in person at the Centre or the laboratory of the Ho Teaching Hospital after satisfying the required fees at the Finance Office of the University.
It said a photocopy of the bio-data page of a valid passport is required for immigration purposes, while copies of any national identification card or document are acceptable for others.
Another requirement is a recent passport-size photograph with test results available within 24 hours for regular, and three to four hours for expedited services costing GHC 350 and GHC 450, respectively.
