Praia, Feb 10 (Inforpress) – The Ministry of Health chaired Monday the launch of the vaccination campaign against the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), which will initially cover about 4.900 ten-year-old girls.
At the ceremony, which also served to launch the vaccination against hepatitis B and the child and adolescent health notebook, the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, said that despite the current difficulties the country and the world are experiencing , the Government complies with the commitment made and is focused on ensuring there is no neglect in other health care.
”HPV vaccination is a very important measure and will have an impact on women’s health, on reducing morbidity and mortality. We are always talking the actions are aimed at women and at all ages, from children, young people and adults and we are touching the center of what is the central core of our social organization, which is the family”, he stated.
The head of the Government considered the child and adolescent health notebook will be an “important instrument” for the integral assessment and family follow-up and health status of children and adolescents.
