Accra, Nov. 27, GNA – The 2018 Logistics and Transporters Award has been slated for December 6, at which eleven institutions and individuals will be decorated as winners and runner ups for awards in 15 different categories.
The contending categories of the year awards include: Best Freight Forwarding Company, Best Courier Service Company, Best Commercial Transport Company, Best Safety and Environmental Friendly Company, Best Corporate Responsible Company, and Best Haulage Company.
A statement signed by Mr MacDonald Bubuana, Events Coordinator and Member of the organizing committee and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday identified others as: Best Allied Service Company, and Best Car Rental Company.
The rest are: Best Promising Logistics and Transport Company, Best Logistics and Transport Employer, Best Chief Executive Officer, Best News Reporter, and Best Media Organization, Best Logistics Company and Best Customer Service Excellence Award.
The 2018 Logistics and Transport Awards is being organized by Adams 360 Advertising Company in partnership with Eves Media Ghana Limited, Target Roll Communications Consult and the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF) on the theme, « Driving the Growth of Ghana’s Logistics and Transport sector through effective recognition system ».
The selection of the prospective awardees was based on their outstanding performance in relevant operations within the logistics and transport sector in the year 2017.
The event, dubbed GLOTA 2018, was initially slated for July 26, 2018 but had to be postponed indefinitely to enable the technical evaluation committee conduct a thorough exercise to scrutinize the entry applications submitted by interested institutions.
