45th SWAG Awards Night on hold due to COVID-19 put on hold
Accra, May 18, GNA – The annual Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards has been put on hold, following the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Mr. Charles Osei Assibey, General Secretary of the Association, the decision follows the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19, and after several consultations.
The awards was originally scheduled for May 23, 2020.
A statement said, the Executive Committee of SWAG would keep members and the general public with regards to the next step of action.
The SWAG Awards which is in the 45th edition is the longest-running sports awards in the country and is set to confer honours on over 30 sports men and women in the country.
