Accra, Aug 18, GNA – Advans Ghana Savings and Loans Limited continues to expand its activities in support of the fight against poverty through the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The financial institution with presence in eight countries – Cote d’ Ivoire, Cameroun, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Tunisia and Cambodia, has now established firm foothold in Kumasi, the nation’s second largest city, with the opening of a branch office in Tafo.
Mr. Brieuc Cardon, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), said they were taking deliberate steps to reach out to the rural population, to boost their economic activities.
The company was currently operating in four regions – Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern and Volta, and he indicated that it was determined to stand with the people every step of the way to make things better for them.
He said even as they created funding stream for enterprises and individuals they were also eager to assist them to have better understanding of the importance of saving.
Mr. Cardon added that it was critical, business entities and everybody understood the importance of making savings to achieve their project goals.
That, he said, was the way forward to promote a vibrant private sector, to create wealth and jobs.
Mr. Cardon underlined that the company with its headquarters in Paris, France, main motivation was to lift many out of poverty in Africa.
Advans Ghana started operating in the country in year 2008 and has been doing business with clients in excess of 13,000.[G1]
