Akyem Manso Development Union donates to Manso Health Center

   Akyem-Manso, Feb 22, GNA – The Akyem Manso Development Union (AMDU) has donated health equipment worth 104,000 Ghana cedis to the Manso Health Center in Asene Manso Akroso District.
     The items included infrared thermometers, examination lamps, cleaver machine, oxygen cylinders, sterilizing drum and instruments, portable oxygen equipment, hot air oven, haemoglobin meters, examination beds, autoclave machine, air conditioners, desktop computers,  printer, and a photocopy machine.
    Mr Kwame Sakyi, briefing the Ghana News Agency said, the donation was made possible through contribution from its members both home and abroad as well as a community fundraising.
    Mr Kwadwo Owusu Ansah, District Director of Health thanked the Union for the kind gesture and indicated that with support from the District Assembly, the community had been elevated to a health centre.
   He said the Health Center now had a maternity block and pharmacy, whiles the Out Patient Department and laboratory were under construction, and described the donation as timely to improve upon their services.
    He said, for lack of the items donated, they usually referred cases to the district hospital and thanked the donors for such support.
   Oberempon Sintim Opoku III, the Chief of Akyem Manso, Mr George Kwame Aboagye, the Member of Parliament, Mr Alex Incoom the District Chief Executive, and Mr Yaw Antwi Bosiako the Assemblymember for Dadesoaba electoral area were there to grace the occasion.
