Speaking after his victory, Amponsah described his first ever armwrestling experience as an incredible one and expressed his delight in being named the champion of the Brong Ahafo Region.

« I feel excited because it was just out of the moon. My friends pushed me into this contest and I realized that with their motivation I could do it and it really pushed me far.
