ASTECH receives government’s COVID-19 prevention items

Sege (GAR) Jun 24, GNA — The Ada Senior High Technical School (ASTECH) has received its share of the COVID-19 prevention items provided by government as school reopens for final year students and form two gold track students.

Veronica Buckets, liquid soaps, basins, tissue rolls, dustbins, face masks, hand sanitizers and thermometer guns had duly being received by the school authorities.
Mrs. Eunice Oklu, Headmistress, told the Ghana News Agency that the items were delivered to the school by Ada West District Assembly officials on Monday.

Mrs Oklu said, both teachers and students, were observing all COVID- 19 protocols adding that measures had been put in place to ensure a coronavirus free environment.

The school, she noted, had designated a room for the isolation of any suspected case of COVID-19 on campus.

She said to ensure there was enough space in the dormitories and campus, form two green students and all form one students had been instructed to come for their personal items.

She appealed to parents of students who were yet to report to school to allow their children to return to school, giving the assurance that authorities would ensure that under no circumstances would the students be permitted to leave campus.

Parents, she said must provide their wards with basic items using their discretion as the school was not giving out any prospectus.

She said, the school would have series of examinations for the students with the first one dubbed « arrival test » to be written on Friday.
