Bepong (E/R), Aug 08, GNA- The Kwahu South District Assembly has cut sod for the commencement of a three units classroom block with ancillary facilities for the Bepong Senior High School as part of efforts to enhance the government’s Free Senior High School program.
The project, which was to deal with the inadequate classrooms facing the School had been awarded to Dans Rock Limited, a construction firm and expected to be completed in six months.
At a sod cutting ceremony to officially commence the project, Mr. Emmanuel Ofori Atta, the Kwahu South District Chief Executive, promised that government would continue to support to provide quality education for the people in the District, hence the project.
He said every community that fell within their jurisdiction would have its fair share of the government’s development projects, adding that community members should not hesitate to put across their grievances through to the Assembly for redress.
He was hopeful the provision of the classroom block to the school would go a long way to promote second cycle education in the District and the country at large.
Mr. Ofori Atta therefore admonished the contractor to do a good.
Nana Nyarko Bawuah II, the Chief of Bepong, applauded the Assembly for helping to provide more classrooms to the School and urged the community members to monitor the project to ensure its early completion.
