Accra, Aug. 27, GNA – Emmanuel Boateng, Levante and Black Stars forward, has made a quick recovery from injury and would to be ready for the team’s third game against rivals Valencia on Sunday, September 2, 2018.

Boateng, who was expected to be fit and ready for the fourth game against Espanyol, confirmed to GNA Sports, that he had returned to full training and was ready for Sunday’s game.

According to him, the injury that kept him out of coach Kwesi Appiah’s selection against Kenya, was over and he looks forward to a more interesting and successful season.

« I am now back to full time training, feeling very sharp and ready for the season, I am ready to play my part for Levante on Sunday and I look forward to it.

« It is always not easy to pick up an injury ahead of a major season, but I have recuperated very well and I know I would have a good season ».

According to the « Oluwa Dey » hit maker, his absence in Appiah’s team for the Black Stars qualifier against Kenya, was due to his injury and he would bounce back to give his best to mother Ghana when called again.

« It is sad I cannot be with my colleagues as they seek to make Ghana proud, but I know they have what it takes to make us all proud, I look forward to the future for more endeavors with the team and I know we would qualify for the AFCON 2019 ».

The 22 year forward was operated on his meniscus in June 2018, after he picked up an injury during a pre-season friendly against Bournemouth at the La Manga facility, which ruled him out for his team’s first two opening games against Real Betis and Celta Vigo.
