Bong CSC Gets Biometric ID Card Equipment

GBARNGA, Sept. 15 (LINA) – Government with support from UN Development Program has donated pieces of ECOWAS Biometric Identification Card equipment to Bong County Service Center, Coordinator Jefferson Gbayan has disclosed.

Speaking in the county recently, Mr. Gbayan lauded UNDP and government for the supply and encouraged inhabitants of Bong to take advantage of the service center in order to alleviate the constraint of leaving from the county to get essential documents, including marriage certificate in Monrovia.

The Bong CSC Coordinator further noted that with the arrival of the equipment, the center can now commence the authorization of licenses, and other documents, including wedding certificates, among others, in the county.

He then assured the public that the new equipment will help to speed up the center’s operation, calling on inhabitants to take advantage of services offered by his institution.

« We just want to tell you that government is doing well through its partners to ensure that basic social services are delivered to the people, » he added.

At the same time, Gbayan disclosed that a bill has been passed by the 54th National Legislature giving rise to 40 percent of revenue raised from the county to remain and be use by the county, while 60 percent of revenue raised will be deposited in government revenue.

Mr. Gbayan is also said the process of getting essential documents in the county has been effective and people who put in for them through the County Service Center will have them finally delivered in the county.

Meanwhile, Mr. Gbayan said following the instillation of the equipment shortly, inhabitants of Bong County will now be relieved of the cost of traveling to Monrovia for documents that can easily be produced by the County Service Center.
