Nova Sintra, Sep 23 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verdean Music Society (SCM), Solange Cesarovna, said that the institution is working to “fight” insularity, which represents the “biggest challenge”.
Solange Cesarovna spoke to Inforpress, Monday, at the end of a training gave by SCM to authors, musicians and artists from Brava, stating that the objective was to train them on their rights related to correct management of musical works and present them the work done by the corporate body (SCM).
In addition to the authors, musicians, also the cultural promoters, responsible for restaurants, hotels, this Tuesday, participate in a workshop to raise awareness about the “valorization” of copyrighted works, as well as, for three days, the technicians from the City Hall, working at Balcão Único, will attend training in registration, inspection and other procedures.
According to the same source, all these actions fall within the framework of the commitments SCM has took over with all its members, and also work so that the island can have services from society, with a view to “fighting insularity”, considering this fact as being the “biggest challenge”.
