Accra, Nov.30 GNA – The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has stripped off Cameroon, the hosting right for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2019, with barely seven months to the tournament.
At an Extraordinary Congress in Accra, the continents governing body announced that the hosting right has been made vacant for interested countries, following the decision of CAF to take the right away from them.
Though, the governing body is yet to give full details of why Cameroon was stripped off the right, GNA sources has confirmed that the decision was based on security factors.
