MONROVIA, June 17 (LINA) – The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) is gearing up for a grand campaign assembly which is intended to provide awareness and information about the party’s vision to transform Liberia for the better.
CDC Chairman Mulbah Morlu disclosed that the grand campaign activity which is slated for June 22 will be held at the CDC headquarters in Congo Town, outside Monrovia.
Morlu, who made the disclosure at the CDC’s District #15 sub-office in Logan Town on Bushrod Island, said that the grand assembly is also intended to inform Liberians that this is the time for CDC to take over the nation.
According to him, the grand assembly will also caution all Liberians to vote right during the pending Senatorial and Representative by-elections.
The CDC Chairman emphasized that the party will on June 22 gather thousands of Liberian as a means of proving to members of the opposition community that protest and hate messages will not take away the heart of the Liberian people.
“The time for CDC to be voiceless is over, the time for CDC to be disappointed and dejected is also over, now is the time for us to take what is rightfully for us, Montserrado County is for us. I am not bragging but it is the reality,” Morlu said in reference to the pending by-elections.
The CDC Chairman remains optimistic that the pending polls will be won by the CDC, citing that “CDCians are confident that the elections are for them.”
“The indications are clear that CDC is the winner come July 2 (voting day), no need for a native doctor to tell us that we are a winner, it is something we all know that we have earned over the years as a nation changer,” Morlu said.
He then cautioned partisan of the CDC to observe the rule of law, avoid violence and remain civil during the grand assembly which, he said, will send a good signal for the party and the nation as well.
