Hohoe (V/R), April 10, GNA – Bishop Emmanuel Kwame Amevor, Founder of the Holiness Pentecostal Church in Hohoe, has called on Christians to use this year’s Good Friday and Easter activities as a time for reflection on the many blessings from God.
He said the day should not be for merry making, but to think about the benefits of Christ’s crucifixion while they reflected on old lifestyles that were not Christ-like and pray for forgiveness.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Bishop Amevor called on Christians to use the period to intercede for the whole world especially “those who do not have the knowledge of Christ” and observe all precautionary and preventive measures as they sought the face of God in the midst of the pandemic.
He advised Christians to examine themselves during the Easter period, “be in Christ and be Christ” and exhibit kindness to their neighbours devoid of revenge, while they continued to “watch and pray”.
