Accra, Sept. 19, GNA – Apostle Kadmiel Agbalanyoh, the Founder and Leader of the Seventh Day Congregation of Theocracy has urged churches to establish technical vocational institutions to help provide skills to the youth.
He said this would complement government’s efforts in providing requisite business training skills for the jobless graduates to establish their own ventures and become self-reliant.
Apostle Agbalanyoh gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency during his church’s Third Peace of Tabernacle celebration at Homedakrom-Otuakrom, near Aburi in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region.
He said the setting up of the training institutions would also help prevent the youth from roaming around aimlessly and eventually becoming a menace to society as they turn drug addicts and armed robbers.
Apostle Agbalanyoh said there was the need for degree holders in engineering and agriculture to be assisted to practice their professions instead of them seeking white collar jobs.
He said education had been his major priority and the setting up of a Technical Vocational Centre, a Day Care Centre, Junior High and Senior High Schools, was to complement government’s efforts.
Apostle Agbalanyo called on parents and guardians to allow their talented children to attend technical vocational institutions up to the university level to enable them to learn a career and the opportunity to establish their own businesses.
He advised the youth to refrain from alcoholism, tobacco smoking and other negative social vices that could ruin their lives in future and instead pay serious attention to their education.
