Praia, Sep 2 (Inforpress) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with the Senegalese government, organized over this weekend another Dakar / Praia repatriation flight, bringing 101 Cabo Verdeans who were stranded in African countries, such as Senegal, Egypt, Morocco, Guinea-Bissau and Gambia.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Community, Luís Filipe Tavares, speaking to Inforpress, foreigners with legal residence in Cabo Verde also traveled on this repatriation flight.
The head of Cabo Verdean diplomacy revealed, on the other hand, that the referred flight took a “large number of Senegalese” back to their country of origin, who were also being stranded in Cabo Verde.
“All passengers came with negative PCR tests,” guaranteed the minister, adding that among the passengers returned were the two sailors from São Vicente who were stranded in Gambia and whose PCR tests were positive, just over a month ago, when another five colleagues were repatriated.
