Praia, Sep 14 (Inforpress) – President Jorge Carlos Fonseca will meet the Council of the Republic, on September 28, to reflect and evaluate the COVID-19 situation in the country, especially the issue of health, economy and education.
In a publication on its official page, Jorge Carlos Fonseca announced the meeting, at a time when Cabo Verde registers an accumulation of 4.557, 43 deaths and 3.993 recovered.
“The meeting of the Council of the Republic, political (constitutional) body of consultation with the President of the Republic, will take place on the 28th of this month, for information, reflection and evaluation of the situation arising from the COVID-19 epidemic in the country (health, economy, education )”, informed the Head of State.
Speaking to the press on August 28, Jorge Carlos Fonseca had said that he was going to call on the Council of the Republic to exchange information, in addition to a “broader reflection”, so that the President of the Republic would be more qualified to have a “concrete and richer view ”on the pandemic situation.
