Accra, April 21, GNA – Mr. Daniel McKorley (McDan) Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the McDan Group of Companies, has been named as Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the newly established Under-17 Inter Club Champions League and Inter Regional Challenge Cup.
Mr. McKorley would chair a nine-member Committee that have been tasked to ensure effective organization of the competitions which is expected to kick-off in September-October 2021 across the country.
The nine-member committee had been tasked to raise the needed funds to manage the competition, suggest format/competition rules to the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for approval and the general planning and management of the two juvenile tournaments.
The new competition is to unearth talents at the juvenile level.
Mr. Daniel McKorley would be assisted by the GHALCA President, Mr. Kudjo Fianoo with Michael Fiaduse, Waisu Ali Mohammed, Eugene Jacquaye, Amidu Abdulai serving as members.
The rest are, former Black Stars captain Augustine Arhinful, Sulley Sheriff and Inusah Ahmed.
