São Filipe, Nov 13 (Inforpress) – The Fogo / Brava Employment and Vocational Training Center started Monday a training course for taxi drivers from São Filipe with funding from the Social Sustainability Fund for Tourism.
The training takes place in the post-work period, from 6:00PM and with a workload of three hours/day, including English, French and customer service.
To provide training, the Center for Employment and Vocational Training has entered into an agreement with the Social Sustainability Fund for Tourism, with taxi drivers only paying a registration fee of one thousand escudos.
The first day of the training was attended by the poor participation of taxi drivers, many of whom have not yet enrolled in the training. Meanwhile, Fogo Island hiace drivers gather at the Employment Center premises to form an association to defend their interests and analyze some situations that concern them at this time.
