Praia, Sep 7 (Inforpress) – The Cabeça Fundão Association started, with the rainfall, to plant, directly or indirectly, more than four thousand fruit plants, especially the vine, in various parts of the community.
The production and plantation of fruit plants, according to Nicolau Centeio, from the Cabeça Fundão Association (ACF) is part of the programme for the Promotion of Rural Socio-economic Opportunities (Poser), and the plants are being distributed and posted on agricultural land of more than 40 residents from Cabeça Fundão, in the municipality of Santa Catarina.
In addition to the various fruit plants, the association and under the Poser programme will set, with the rainfall in quantity last weekend, an addicional 3.500 forage plants taking into account that it is a community with a strong tradition in the livestock sector and with an expressive number of cattle breeders, especially goats.
The activities of the Poser programme started last July and have a financing of around two million escudos, being currently in the stage of opening holes and fixing fruit and forage plants.
