Akyem-Achiase, Nov. 1, GNA – The Achiase District Assembly in collaboration with Blood Maths Laboratory Services has organized a health screening for food vendors and food handlers to ensure the safety of the public.
About1,500 food vendors and handlers were screened and issued with certificates in the district, in the exercise, which spanned for about a month.
Mr Boakye Yiadom, the Head of Blood Maths Laboratory Services said the exercise was done annually to ensure that food vendors were in good health to serve consumers.
He said those some health conditions after the screening have been recommended for further medical care and would be monitored as such.
