Praia, Dec 29 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister considered that the arrival in Sal of the first charter flight from the ‘Smartwings’ airline marks the beginning of a gradual process for resumption of tourism, in this context marked by the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Friday night, 25th, 167 Polish tourists ended up at the Amílcar Cabral International Airport, in Sal Island, a flight organized by the tour operator Itaca, who has worked in Cabo Verde for several years, and the Morabitur Agency.
“After a long period of confinement due to COVID-19, the first charter flight from the Smartwings airline arrives in Sal organized by the tour operator Itaca, coming from Poland”, wrote the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia Silva, on his page in Facebook.
This flight, he considered, is the beginning of a process for resumption of tourism that will gradually develop in this context still marked by the COVID-19 pandemic.
