Praia, May 26 (Inforpress) – CV Movel made available 2.5 million escudos to the FCA on Monday to enable the women’s handball team participation in the 24th African Cup of Nations (CAN), scheduled for June 8-18, in Yaoundé (Cameroon).
To this end, an agreement was signed this morning in the City of Praia between the Cabo Verdean Handball Federation (FCA) and CV Movel.
At the time, the FCA president, António Teixeira, thanked the company for the gesture, since it will help to make the athletes “dream coming true”, who will represent the national flag. “This sponsorship means everything, it means making the dream of the athletes who for more than two months are preparing here in Cabo Verde on the islands of Sal, Praia and São Vicente, to make a dream come true to participate in the CAN”, he said.
On the other hand, he considered that the CVMovel availability is “an important milestone”, which, despite the crisis situation, was available to collaborate to enable the national women’s handball team participation in the 24th edition of the CAN, showing that the financial aspect “is not the most important”.
