Praia, Jun 15 (Inforpress) – The responsible substitute official of the HUAN Blood Bank said today they would like to have a society more aware on voluntary blood donation to maintain the quality of life of people who depend on it.
Jaquelina Furtado made these statements in an interview with Inforpress about World Blood Donor Day, celebrated on June 14, this year under the slogan “Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives”.
According to reported, the Blood Bank of the Agostinho Neto University Hospital, in Praia, has enrolled 23.000 donors, of which about 2.000 are regular donors, some donate more regularly, up to 3 to 4 times a year, and others at longer intervals.
For this responsible, the intention is to be able to have reliable voluntary donors, because at this time the number of volunteers to donate has been reasonable, but they would like to have a little more volunteers who dedicate themselves to this cause.
