Praia, Aug 13 (Inforpress) – The prime minister challenged Cabo Verdean youth not to focus on “permanent problems” and invited them to be part of the solutions so that the country can win the fight against the COVID-19 and return to the dynamics of development.

Ulisses Correia e Silva launched this challenge in statements to the press, after maintaining a dialogue with Cabo Verdean youth under the theme “Young people in the future of Cabo Verde and in the world we want to build”, which was transmitted via digital platforms, from Tarrafal de Santiago, to the whole country and diaspora.

On the occasion, the chief executive transmitted a message of confidence and strength, having invited young people to be part of the solution as a way of helping the country to overcome this difficult phase of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus.

Despite the COVID-19 having been imposing many restrictions and leading the country to an economic recession, the same source defended that this is not “a reason to give up”. According to him, the time is right for a “good fight” so that the country can resume the dynamics of growth, development and, above all, job creation, which, according to him, is what most concerns youth.
