Accra, July 30, GNA – Ghana’s longest running and most popular beauty pageant, « Miss Ghana », is set to be launched on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.

The pageant, organised by Exclusive Events Ghana Ltd, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture, would seek to create awareness on various socio-economic problems confronted by deprived communities.

It would also provide proactive solutions to the challenges of these deprived communities.

Over the years, the Miss Ghana Foundation has embarked on various social interventions, to salvage various communities and notable among them is the Don Bosco Street Child Project, where the Foundation aided in acquisition of a 10-acre land and established a hostel for thousands of street children, who are given social and technical training.

The activities by the Miss Ghana Foundation has necessitated the need to choose a face that best represent their agenda hence the vigorous selection process for the ultimate winner.

The last edition of the Miss Ghana pageant was won by Margaret Mwintuur Dery, an Upper West representative for the pageant.
