Praia, Jan 27 (Inforpress) – More than 350 operators in the Sucupira market, in Praia, will benefit from credits to relaunch activities, strongly affected by the crisis caused by the pandemic and the September floods.
The information was forwarded to Inforpress by the president of the Pro-Empresa, Pedro Barros, who said that support for these informal sector operators is part of the program to promote micro-entrepreneurship, launched in the third quarter of 2020 to help the most vulnerable and contribute to the formalization of structured informal businesses with minimum requirements.
The financing, according to Pedro Barros, between 150 thousand escudos and 1.5 million escudos, and only by Sucupira operators, more than 350 request are under consideration, which should be released between the end of January and the first half of February.
The credits, as explained, will be granted under special conditions, with interest subsidies and State guarantees. Pro-Empresa is the governmental entity in charge of managing the Government’s measures to support the economic sector to overcome the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
