MP drills boreholes for communities in Sissala East

Sakai, (UW), Feb. 27, GNA-Mr Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sissala East constituency has drilled and handed over five boreholes to people of four communities in the constituency.
The construction of the boreholes for the communities was to redeem a pledge the MP made to those communities during the 2020 electioneering campaign.
The beneficiary communities included; Sakai where two boreholes were provided whiles one each for Nabulo, Gwosi and Gbenebisi.
Mr Issahaku speaking at the commissioning of the boreholes at separate functions said he was a man of action and that he would work hard to redeem every pledge he made to the constituents during the electioneering campaign.
He said water was life and that he placed more premium on the provision of potable water to the people to prevent them from contracting water borne diseases.
He said the construction of the five boreholes were from his own resources and assured the people of more support if his share of the Assembly Common Fund was ready.
Mr Wutirirah Atiku, the Assemblyman for the Sakai electoral area commended the MP for the swift response and assured of the people’s continuous support to enhance development.
He said for over a year now the people had been struggling and starving for water and that the boreholes arrived at the right time.
