A statement issued in Accra by Mr Samuel Koranteng, Corporate Services Executive, MTN Ghana, said MTN customers on ayoba could initiate the transfer by clicking on the “attachment” option on the chat, select send money, enter the amount, add a message and Personal Identification Number (PIN) and the money would be sent to the receiver right in the chat window.

It said the feature would be available on the latest version of the App and asked ‘ayoba’ customers to update their current App to experience the ease of sending money to family and friends.

Mr. Dario Bianchi, the Digital Services Consultant for MTN, said that the activation of the money transfer option of MoMo, created more convenience for customers as they did not have to leave the chat to initiate a transfer.
