The statement said after the close of submission, all projects received would be reviewed and shortlisted, adding that shortlisted projects will be pruned to 100 and thereafter to 40 and finally to 10.
« A team will then be dispatched into the communities to authenticate the stories of nominees. The stories of the top 10 finalists will be filmed and featured in a 13-week television show or series after which a grand finale event will be held to announce the winners of the various categories, » it added.

Mr Koranteng, commenting on the MTN Heroes of Change Season 5, said « We want to honour and showcase the work of the many unsung heroes in the communities, who are usually not recognised for their work. So we want the public to nominate ordinary people doing extraordinary things in their communities. »
