Northern Santiago: PN considers the Natal and New Year’s Eve Operational Plan result to be “extremely positive”

Assomada, Jan 8 (Inforpress) – The Regional Command of the National Police (PN) from Northern Santiago, composed of six stations, today considered the Natal and New Year’s Eve Operational Plan result to be “extremely positive”, ensuring that there was a reduction of crimes in the region.
In a press conference, PN spokesman Danielson Baessa stressed that all this was due to the aforementioned operational plan set up by the six stations in the Northern Santiago region was in force from December 15, 2020 to January 5, 2021.
According to the commander of the Police Station of Tarrafal, 2.210 vehicles were inspected in terms of road traffic results, 86 fines were imposed and 331 vehicles were seized for various reasons.
Still in terms of traffic, he added that seven people were arrested, four for driving under the influence of alcohol and three for driving illegally, and 24 accidents with injuries and minor damages were recorded.
