Praia, Jul 23 (Inforpress) – The Mayor of Ribeira Grande de Santiago, Manuel de Pina, announced Tuesday that the rehabilitation works in the São Martinho Grande area have already started, valued at 16 million escudos, in a first stage.
Speaking to Inforpress, Manuel de Pina explained that the works will have a period of three months for the completion, in a first phase, since the location will have other important interventions.
“It is a project that will bring more self-esteem to the citizens, give a new dynamic to the locality and will bring more quality of life to the citizens”, he pointed out.
According to the mayor, the focus is on “positively altering” the structural face of “one of the main communities in the municipality” in terms of access roads but also in the creation of green spaces and conditions for local entrepreneurship.
