BARCLAYVILLE, Oct. 4 (LINA) – As part of his promise to undertake several development projects in Grand Kru Cou0ty, Senator Albert Tugbe Chie has donated office materials to the Picnicess administration 0building.
The donation was made recently b0y Grand Kru County Assistant Superintendent for Development, Joe M. Sekpeh, on behalf of Senator Chie at a ceremony attended by prominent citizens of Picnicess Community.
Senator Chie, for months now, has been making several donations and dedication of projects in the county in line with his promise to the people of the county during the 2014 Mid-Term Senatorial Election.
The donations include L$700,000 to four schools in the county as operational fund; the erection and dedication of two modern clinics in Dorbor and Forpoh Statutory Districts that are helping the County Health Team to provide quality health services to the people, as well as financial contributions to the construction of many feeder roads, the construction of Grandcess Radio Station that is now filling the information gap and the rehabilitation of schools in the county..
The Picnicess Administrative Building worth over US$65,000 was built by Senator Chie and turned over to the Picnicess Community on May 15, 12020.
Speaking during the presentation of the office materials and furniture, the County Assistant Superintendent for Development, Mr. Sekpeh, who served as proxy for Senator Chie, said the office materials were in fulfillment of promises made by the Senate Pro-Temp to the bpeople of Picnicess and other communities.
He quoted Senator Chie as saying that he is committed to working with the people of the County in supporting the government’s Pro Poor Agenda for Development and Prosperity.
At the occasion, Mr. Sekpeh also cautioned the people of Picnicess to take care of the modern structure built by the Senator and expressed confidence that the local authorities of Picnicess have sustainability plans to maintain the facility.
He encouraged local authorities of Gbeta and Klipbo Administrative District to use the building for the intended purpose by going to job every day, as part of strategies to maintain the building and materials.
The Assistant Superintendent for Development used the occasion to thank Senate Pro-Temp for the many projects he has undertaken in the county.
Mr. Sekpeh also acknowledged the Grand Kru Legislative Caucus for the projects they have implemented in the county.
He noted that they are major contributors to Grand Kru’s infrastructural development and are assisting the local government in supporting the Government’s agenda.
The County Development Superintendent made the assertion recently in an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Picnicess.
In remarks, the Superintendent of Klipbo and Gbeta Administrative District, William S. Nmah, expressed gratitude to Senator Chie for the kind gesture, noting that Grand Kru and Liberia need leaders of Senator Chie’s kind to put the country on par with other developing countries in the world,
Mr. Nmah assured the Picnicess Community’s commitment to maintaining and sustaining the building erected by Senator Chie.
