Sixteen Ladies set to battle for GMB 2022 Crown

Accra, July 20, GNA- The 15th edition of the Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) contest is set to begin with 16 selected ladies from the various regions in Ghana to battle for the grand prize.

GMB is a beauty pageant that seeks to educate Ghanaians and the world at large about the various cultural values and heritage in the sixteen regions of Ghana.

The theme for this year’s contest was under the theme « Ghana’s beauty, Africa’s pride. »

Mr. Francis Doku, the General Manager of TV3, organisers of the event speaking at the launch of the 2022 GMB contest in Kumasi, urged Ghanaians to rally behind these selected individuals as they represent their various regions.

Also speaking at the occasion was Nana Owusu Berimah III, Atasomansohene and chairman of the launch who commended the organisers of the beauty contest as it seeks to promote the rich cultural heritage of Ghana.

He further highlighted some benefits of GMB,  » GMB has kept Ghanaians connected to our roots. It brings together all cultures, breeds respect between tribes, erodes all kinds of discrimination and opens our eyes to the beauty that every culture exudes. »

The contestants would in the next 13 weeks go through training and undertake various contests for the selection of a winner who would be crowned as the winner with bragging rights and a car.

The last edition of the GMB contest saw Ashanti Region’s Safao who was crowned winner.

This year’s edition is expected to be very competitive as each of the 16 contestants are of high hopes to be crowned champion of the competition.
