Stock Exchange: Market capitalization in the 3rd quarter of 2020 with positive variation compared to 2019

Praia, Dec 24 (Inforpress) – On September 30, 2020, the market capitalization on the Cabo Verde Stock Exchange (BVC) was around 80 billion escudos, giving rise to a positive variation of 3% compared to recorded at the end of the 3rd quarter of the previous year.

The data appear in the quarterly report of stock exchange operations, published on the BCV website, and point to a good resumption of operations in the secondary market at the time when there was a gradual deterioration of the economy and the appearance of the COVID-19 second wave.

For market capitalization purposes, all securities admitted to listing are considered, namely ordinary shares, treasury bills, municipal bonds and corporate bonds.

On September 30, 2020, a total of 186 securities, namely 174 treasury bonds, six corporate bonds, two Municipal bonds and four ordinary shares, namely Enacol, BCA, were admitted to the official listing market of the Cabo Verde Stock Exchange, as well as Caixa Económica and the Cabo Verdean Tobacco Society (SCT)
