Tourism signs agreement with World Forum to boost sector

Luanda – A protocol of cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the World Tourism Forum was signed on Tuesday in Luanda to attract investment and boost national tourism.

The document was signed by the Minister of Tourism, Ângela Bragança and the chairperson of the World Forum, Bulut Bagci, on the sidelines of the « Breakfast Meeting », eluding to the « Presidential Golf Day – Angola 2019 », an event that precedes the World Tourism Forum that Angola will host as from 23 to 25 May.

Regarding the agreement, Ângela Bragança said that it is a partnership agreement with the organization that owns the brand, which defines the responsibilities of the World Tourism Forum and the Ministry of Tourism for a successful organization of the event.

According to the official, the event that hopes to host 1,500 delegates involves a strong organizational and logistics machinery and the sector is working towards this, taking into account the fact that it wants to invest in the tourism chain, develop hubs and may exhibit its areas that are potential and what the world expects to know and embrace.

Before the forum, « Presidential Golf Day », a mobilizing initiative that will pay tribute to the efforts to attract multi-sector investments to the economy and to promote business opportunities, will be held on May 17 and 18 in Luanda for enhancing the dynamism of tourism.

The minister considered that the « Presidential Golf Day – Angola 2019 » and the forum are presented as an excellent opportunity to close deals and better know the tourist potential of Angola.
