Tamale, Aug. 31, GNA – Mr Prosper Kuorsoh, a Chief Reporter of the Ghana News Agency, has won the Journalist with Most Number of Stories on Post Harvest Losses (PHL) Award organized by the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) Voices for Change Partnership (V4CP) programme.

Mr Kuorsoh, who reports for GNA in the Upper West Region, picked the award for the Northern Sector during a dinner to climax a two-day stock taking workshop for its (SNV V4CP) media partners in Tamale.

Mr Eric Banye, Coordinator of SNV V4CP, presented the award to the GNA Chief Reporter on behalf of Mr Harm Duiker, SVN Country Director.

The award was in appreciation of Mr Kuorsoh’s generous contribution and assistance in the promotion of the V4CP Programme.

Meanwhile, Mr Iddi Yire, an Editor with the GNA in Accra also won the same category of the award for the Southern Sector a fortnight ago.

Other Northern Sector winners were Mr Rafiq Salam, Upper West Regional Correspondent of Joy fm, and Mr Murtala Issah, Northern Regional Correspondent of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.

The V4CP programme is an initiative of SNV targeted at building the capacity of journalists and also resourcing them to report more on the challenges of smallholder farmers with regards to PHL.

The V4CP Programme also focuses on addressing nutrition issues, increasing access to water and sanitation facilities and access to clean cook stoves in the country.
