Accra, Jan. 13, GNA – The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) has release its star performers over the past eight years, with performance in international competitions as the basic yardstick.

Suleimana Tetteh (52kg), is currently the skipper of the national amateur team, the Black Bombers and has over the years, won gold, at the Africa Zone One in 2011, ECOWAS Games 2012 (Gold), Africa Championship 2015 (Silver), Commonwealth Games 2018 (Quarter Finalist).

Umar Abdul Wahid (60kg), was a bronze medallist at the 2014, Commonwealth Games, Africa Olympic qualifier and participated in the All African Games and Olympic Games 2016.

Lartey Jessie Lartey (64kg) won gold at the Africa Zone One in 2011, gold in ECOWAS Games in 2012, bronze in 2018 Commonwealth Games. Prior to this, he was a quarter finalists in the 2014 Commonwealth Games. He has been named Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Amateur Boxer of the year and also won the 2018 Hallmark Sports Excellence Award as Best Amateur Boxer.

Musa Lawson Rahman -(75kg), gold medalists at the 2012 ECOWAS Games, bronze at African Championship 2015 and participated at the All African Games and Olympic Qualifiers.

Mohammed Azumah- (69kg), also won gold at Africa Zone 1, bronze at Africa Olympic Qualifier (Bronze) and a quarter-finalist at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Ampiah Akimos Annang (49kg) -All African Games 2015 bornze medallist and All African Games / Olympic Games 2016 Qualifier (Quarter Finalist).

Samuel Yaw Addo (56kg), Commonwealth Games 2018 (Quarter Finalist).
