Shooting sports competition: EIC, NAN, commends reporter for winning gold medal

Abuja, April 8, 2019 (NAN) The Editor-In-Chief, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Alhaji Idris Abdulrahman has commended Mrs Georgina Adegbie, a sport reporters with the agency, for winning gold meda in the second edition of the media Shooting Sports workshop championship
The event took place on Saturday in Abuja with 50 sports journalists across the 36 states of the federation and FCT that as participants.

Abdulrahman gave the commendation on Monday at the headquarters of NAN, Abuja when Adegbie presented the medal to him.

The editor-in-chief urged other female reporters the agency to emulate Adegbie by developing interest in not only covering sports, but also participate in sports competitions.

« She has made the agency and her family proud for winning a gold medal in the competition, female reporters need to develop interest in covering sports.

« She did well and I encourage her to continue with the same spirit, participating in sporting will go a long way in helping a lot in our reportage of sporting events as reporters, » he said.

NAN reports that the three-day event, organised by Nigeria Shooting Sports Federation (NSSF) organised took place at the Nigerian National Shooting Range, Package B, National Stadium Complex, Abuja.
